Projects - butre school renovations begins

Chief marks boundary of school fenceThe long awaited renovation works at Butre Primary School in Ghana has finally kicked off, thanks to the funding provided by LINCS.

In the last 4 years, LINCS, a charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom have been in discussion with the cheifs and people of Butre, a rural community located in the Western Region of Ghana to build a new and modern primary school complex.

However, due to the economic downturn in the UK economy and in the western world as a whole, it has been challenging to raise the funds required to undertake this project.

A compromise was reached to invest the money raised by LINCS so far in renovating the delapidated primary school building at Butre. This will enable the children in the village to attend classes within a more humane environment.
